Victoria L. Bastecki-Perez
Montgomery County Community College
I was appointed president on May 18, 2020, having dedicated 25 years of my career to Montgomery County Community College, including as interim president, vice president of academic affairs and provost, associate vice president of academic affairs.
My accomplishments include earning an Achieving the Dream Leader College of Distinction designation; a selection for the Racial Equity Leadership Academy (1 of 10 in the nation); starting the college’s first co-ed e–sports team.
I have learned from my mom to always be my authentic self and to pay it forward. She leads such an incredible life by example and always inspires me. She continues to share her talents and gifts to make the world a better place.
For fun, I enjoy spending time with my family. We like to travel and do things that are out of our comfort zones, such as amusement rides and indoor body diving.
