Well after a year since the venue closed its doors, the former Regal movie theater on Route 378 in Bethlehem will be reopening.
There won’t be any movies shown there, however.
Instead, the venue will be home to a 20-24 lane upscale bowling alley and cocktail lounge, said one of the building’s owners, Joseph Posh of Posh Properties No. 31 in Bethlehem Township.
“We’re expecting to be open by the end of the year, they’re putting in lanes as we speak,” said Posh.
Posh said he was unsure as to what the actual name of the 32,000-square-foot entertainment center will be.
He said his company is doing all the renovations, which have cost about $250,000.
The building is being leased by Revolutions Entertainment out of Murrells Inlet, S.C. who will run the entertainment venue.
On its website, the company claims to offer an upscale bowling experience where clientele can enjoy “bowling surrounded by plush leather couch seating, (and) a vibrant atmosphere illuminated with black lights.”
The venue will also offer private suites, each fitted with private bowling lanes, plush leather couch seating and huge projection screens, according to the website.
