There are no shortcuts.

There are no shortcuts.

Each recommendation by Valley National Financial Advisors of Hanover Township, Northampton County, is based upon a thorough understanding of the client’s financial situation, said Thomas M. Riddle, president of the firm.

“We spend time with clients to form the special relationship of trust and caring,” he said.

Authenticity, credibility and respect are important to being a successful mentor and leader, according to Paul L. Marrella of Marrella Financial Group LLC in Spring Township.

“First and foremost, you absolutely, unequivocally have to love what you do. … If you try to fake it, people will know within 20 seconds and you will never be credible,” he said.

Marrella said financial advisers earned their chops during the 2008 economic crisis and its aftermath by maintaining confidence and conviction in their best practices to serve clients.

“I truly believe people were looking for and needed leadership during that time,” he said.
