According to AAA East Central in Allentown the average price for a gallon of gas in the Lehigh Valley was $4.603 cents on May 10. 

It’s getting more expensive to fill up your tank, not just in the Lehigh Valley, but across the state and nation. 

AAA East Central reports that across Pennsylvania the price of gas is nearly four cents higher than last week at an average of $4.216 per gallon. 

AAA East Central is reporting that the average cost for a gallon of gas in the Lehigh Valley on April 19 was $4.155. That compares to $4.131 on April 12 and is up dramatically from April 19 of 2021 when the average price for a gallon of gas was $2.903. 

According to AAA East Central, the average price for a gallon of gas in the Lehigh Valley was $4.131 on April 12, down from $4.213 one week ago, but still up dramatically from April 12, 2021, when it was at $2.902. 

The organization said the national average for a gallon of gas is $4.18, which is seven cents less than a week ago, but still 25 cents more than a month ago, and $1.30 more than a year ago. 

Gas prices remain mostly steady at their current high, despite a decrease in demand according to AAA East Central. 

Gas prices in Pennsylvania are ten cents higher this week at $4.412 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s most recent Gas Price Report. 

AAA is reporting that the average price for a gallon of gas in the Lehigh Valley was $3.577 on Nov. 20, down about once cent from the average price of $3.584 on Nov. 23. 

As most people in Pennsylvania shelter in place, not going out to restaurants or stores and commuting only to the most essential jobs, gas prices are hitting record lows.
