After moving to an outdoor only event for 2020, this year’s Christkindlmarkt in Bethlehem was back to its heated tents this year, bringing in a nearly record number of visitors and supporting vendors and small businesses in the region. 

Some are adapting to holiday shopping during COVID-19, trying new ways to bring in business. Others say they are sticking to their tried-and-true business model and hoping loyal shoppers will still support them.

ArtsQuest will host Christkindlmarkt’s earliest opening since the popular holiday market in downtown Bethlehem began nearly three decades ago.
