Moravian College will use St. Luke’s University Health Network to provide athletic trainers and sports medicine services.
John Ostrowski, will serve as coordinator of sports medicine and head athletic trainer at Moravian’s athletics program.
Moravian is a Division III program in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Ostrowski succeeds Bob Ward, who retired after serving the Greyhound’s athletic program for 32 years.
The athletic program will include board-certified trainers; assistant athletic trainers pursuing doctorates; a rehabilitation coordinator; and a certified strength coach.
Dr. Gregory Carolan, an orthopedic surgeon, and Dr. Maheep Vikram, a primary care sports medicine physician at St. Luke’s Orthopedic Care will serves as team physicians.
The new partnership is expected to enhance services and programs that will be available to students, faculty and staff at the school.
