Allentown State Hospital

Officials from the Pennsylvania Department of General Services took local media on an inside tour of the Allentown State Hospital Jan. 24. The psychiatric hospital, which opened in 1907 and closed in 2010, is slated for demolition so that the state can sell the property to a potential developer as green space. Many people have been curious about the historic structure.
