Reading Hospital names new COO

Anuszkiewicz succeeds Theresa Sucher, who was serving as both the Reading Hospital and Tower Health COO prior to Anuszkiewicz’s appointment. Sucher will now serve as Executive Vice President and COO of Tower Health, Reading Hospital’s parent health care organization.

“I’m proud to be a part of the Reading Hospital team,” said Anuszkiewicz. “The hospital has a legacy of providing patients with high-quality, compassionate care and I look forward to continuing to build on this success with the help of our dedicated employees and physicians.”

Anuskiewicz most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Ochsner Baptist Medical Center in New Orleans, where she worked to return the hospital to full service after it was forced to close in 2005 following Hurricane Katrina.

Jennings, president and CEO of Reading Hospital, in a news release. “Her proven experience in healthcare leadership and quality transformation will help ensure Reading Hospital continues to provide nationally recognized, high-quality healthcare as the market leader in the communities we serve.”

Reading Hospital, located in West Reading, is the flagship, acute care hospital of Tower Health.

Anuskiewicz began serving as COO of Reading Hospital on April 29.
