The Reading-Berks Association of Realtors has a new executive to lead the organization.
Wesley T. Stefanick was chosen by the board of directors to be the executive vice president.
The nonprofit association based in Wyomissing has more than 900 licensed members in the residential and commercial real estate market.
Nadia Muret had held the role since 2014.
Stefanick has extensive experience with the organization, having served as the director of government and community affairs for more than three years. He served as the association’s lobbyist and chief strategist for issues relating to the county, school districts and local municipal governments.
Stefanick worked with the Realtors political action committee where he was responsible for increasing contributions and awareness of the group.
“We know through his proven dedication that he is the right person to accomplish R-BAR’s strategic goals of expanding our member services, promoting high standards of practice for Realtors and aggressively advocating for homeowners in Berks County,” Merlin Weaver, president of the association, said in a statement.
Stefanick also will serve as chief executive of the Berks Real Estate Weekly, which is owned by the association, and executive director of R-BAR Cares.
