QNB Bank opened its 12th branch with its newest location at 535 N. 19th St. in Allentown.
Dave Freeman, president and CEO of the Quakertown-based bank, said its newest branch opened at the end of August and will have a grand opening on Oct. 22.
“We have been doing a decent amount of lending in the Lehigh Valley,” Freeman said. “We like the number of businesses that are in the area. Everything about the market appealed to us.”
Lafayette Ambassador Bank formerly occupied the space, which is more than 2,000 square feet, he said.
The Allentown location will have two full-time business lenders to be able to call on customers in the area. In addition, it would have a branch manager and three universal bankers.
QNB’s other Lehigh Valley locations are Coopersburg and Wescosville, he said.
QNB Bank has $1.2 billion in assets, Freeman said.
PW Campbell of Pittsburgh is the design-build firm for the project.
