The owners of Bolete, a Salisbury Township-based restaurant that has won several national awards, recently opened its third concept, a New England-style clam and seafood shack in the Easton Public Market in Easton.
The venue, Silvershell Counter & Kitchen, takes the place of the Third & Ferry Fish Market space.
Chef Lee Chizmar and his wife, Erin Shea, operate the venue, whose menu includes lobster rolls, fried clams, steamers, oysters, and a variety of fresh fish and soups. Prices range from $5 to $22, Shea said.
“The basis is a classic New England clam shack,” Shea said.
Shea said she grew up in New England – near Silvershell Beach in Massachusetts – and relocated to the Lehigh Valley more than 10 years ago with her husband and business partner.
She said she and Chizmar also own Mister Lee’s Noodles, a venue inside the Easton market that sells Japanese noodle dishes.
“We know it’s a viable location,” Shea said.
Guests will also have some counter seats available in addition to nearby market seating.
