A manufacturer of car-wash products plans to open a manufacturing site in Hanover Township, Northampton County.
Innovative Control Systems will occupy a 52,000 square-foot-building owned and operated by J.G. Petrucci Co. Inc.
The project is the second one the two companies have worked on over the past 15 years, said Tom Shaughnessy, director of business development for J.G. Petrucci, based in Hanover Township.
The building, at 16 South Commerce Way, is in Lehigh Valley Industrial Park IV and provides direct access to routes 512 and 22.
ICS will lease the building from J.G. Petrucci, which own and manage it, Shaughnessy added.
ICS will refurbish the building to accommodate its needs.
Shaughnessy said J.G. Petrucci bought the building a few years ago and recently leased it to Aeromed, a firm that used it as a distribution center before it consolidated and moved elsewhere. Gift Box Corp. of America owned and operated it before J.G. Petrucci bought the building.
J.G. Petrucci’s relationship with ICS began in 2003, when the firm was searching for a developer to build an office and warehouse on Jacobsburg Road in Wind Gap. J.G. Petrucci designed and built that building, which opened in 2006.
ICS provides technology solutions for the car-wash industry.
Kevin Detrick, founder and partner of ICS, was unavailable for comment.
