Lehigh Carbon Community College to offer only online classes for first summer session

Lehigh Carbon Community College students will be unable to take classes on campus for the first half of the summer.  The Schnecksville-based college will offer its first five- and 10-week summer sessions online only as a health precaution.

The first summer session begins May 18. A second session begins July 6, but a decision has not yet been made on whether in-person face to face classes will be offered for that session.

Sections identified with “N” in the course number will be taught using Canvas, LCCC’s learning management system. Courses will not meet in real time. Students will complete coursework according to instructor deadlines located in Canvas course modules.

For courses that include days and times, students and faculty will come together on those days and times via live Zoom meetings.

Arrangements have also been made for entering LCCC students to take placement tests online and meet with an adviser remotely via Zoom, before registering for classes.
