The Middleby Corp. said Steve Follett, president of Follett LLC in Forks Township, would retire next year.
Follett served 22 of his 32 years at the company as president and CEO, according to a news release. Since 2016, he has served as president of Follett LLC following the company’s acquisition by Middleby
Middleby made the announcement earlier this week.
The company will promote Korey Kohl, Middleby Group president of the Middleby Beverage Group, as his successor.
The company said Follett and Kohl would collaborate on a transition in the first quarter of 2019.
Follett LLC manufactures ice storage bins, ice transport solutions and refrigeration products.
Under Follett’s leadership, the company expanded from a single operation in Forks Township to a second facility in the Lehigh Valley and another in Poland. Today, the company employs more than 600 people.
Over the years, Follett led development of product lines that reshaped an industry, while promoting health, safety and well-being in the health care and food service sectors, according to the company.
Follett has served on a number of local boards and Lehigh Valley Business will induct him into its Hall of Fame in December in recognition of his career accomplishments and years of service to the community.
