Katie P. Desiderio
Assistant VP/Corporate Educational Partnerships; Executive Director, Graduate Business
“I experienced the honor of leading the Economics and Business Department as the first female chairperson at the sixth oldest college in America, founded by a 16-year-old girl in 1742! I recently cofounded a consultancy specializing in leadership development and the advancement of performance through learning.”
“As an introvert with a diagnosed learning disability, who spent the early part of my life with low self-efficacy, I learned the power of believing in yourself. For me, this comes from a mindful approach to who I welcome into my star system; it is these extraordinary humans who fuel my willingness and ability to embrace opportunities where I welcome the challenge to fall-up: to learn, take risks and grow every day! Ushindi kujiamini timu oyee.” (Victory confidence team)
Desiderio said she has “the gift of designing the vision and operational direction to establish an educational partnership strategy for the college, grounded in our mission.” In Graduate Business, she cultivates enrollments for programs, leads faculty in processes that shape curriculum and impact the learning of students, and drives the development of new programs.
For Desiderio, fun days start with mind, body, soul nourishment including yoga, reading and a cardio workout. Activities like baking, traveling, playing chess, skiing and connecting with my favorite humans are mindfully sprinkled throughout my days. The exclamation point being with our girls, Lilly and Emme, on the soccer field.
