Inc. magazine is out with its annual list of the Top 5,000 Fastest Growing Companies, with a number of finalists from the Greater Lehigh Valley.
Of the 18 businesses in the region that made the list, which is based on their percentage of revenue growth, only one, Acuity Scheduling, made the coveted Top 500. It came in at No. 436.
The Salisbury Township firm had growth of 1,157 percent over the last three years, which gave it $6.9 million in revenue last year. Acuity, which provides online scheduling services was also ranked as the No. 1 fastest growing business in the Lehigh Valley metro area and No. 11 in Pennsylvania.
Ideal Concepts, an Allentown insurance agency, just missed the Top 500. It ranked at No. 579.
At the bottom of the list, locally, was Traffic Planning & Design of Pottstown, a transportation engineering firm, which just made the Top 5,000 list at No. 4,998. While it only saw growth of 57 percent, the company still took in $18.2 million in revenue last year.
This is the fourth time the company made the list.
Kevin Johnson, TPD’s president, credited the company’s investment in human capital and “exploring new service-driven and geographic opportunities, while operating as lean and strategically as possible.”
