Gov. Tom Wolf is recommending that all Pennsylvanians wear a mask when they leave their homes as COVID-19 cases steadily rise in the state.
In an April 3 news conference, Wolf said that masks help prevent the spread of the virus and help protect grocery store workers, pharmacists and others who must work outside the home.
“These people are keeping us alive by getting us the supplies we need,” he said. “We owe it to them to do everything we can to keep them safe. Right now, that means wearing a mask.”
He added that masks are not foolproof however, and the best protection is to stay at home.
