Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network has named Frank Hyland to the newly created post of executive director.
Hyland will serve as administrator of Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital and oversee inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services in all areas.
His job also will include overseeing both long-term and acute care, as well as maintenance, housekeeping and security services at the network’s facilities.
“He is a leader in our industry, consistently introducing new technological and therapeutic advancements in rehabilitation,” John Kristel, Good Shepherd president and CEO, said about Hyland. “[Hyland]’s expertise and innovative approach to rehabilitation have helped Good Shepherd to become an international destination for recovery for those with catastrophic conditions.”
Hyland has been with the organization since 1981 and has been vice president of rehabilitation services, and administrator, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, since 2001.
In 2015, Lehigh Valley Business awarded Hyland with the Healthcare Heroes Lifetime Achievement Award for his significant contributions to improving health care in the Lehigh Valley community.
