The tequila tower has landed.
The much-hyped, 28-foot, three-story tower, which will hold more than 80 types of tequila, has been installed at Torre, a Mexican restaurant set to open at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley this fall.
George Paxos, owner of the restaurant, describes the tower as the centerpiece attraction of the restaurant and marks the home stretch of the construction project. While he has no firm date, he said he expects to open in early November.
Paxos said the tequila tower is a standout feature that should help give the restaurant an interesting atmosphere.
“It has an agate inlay that’s molded into the resin,” Paxos said. “In our eyes, it’s absolutely gorgeous.”
He noted that it’s a custom piece, designed by Jeffrey Beers International, the firm that did the interior for one of Paxos’ other restaurants, Melt, which also is in the Promenade Shops in Center Valley.
It also features multicolored light emitting diodes, which can be used to help set the mood of the restaurant with different hues.
