Andrea J. Funk, former CEO of Cambridge-Lee Industries, will be the keynote speaker Thursday at the Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce dinner at Kutztown University.
Funk joined Cambridge-Lee, one of the world’s largest copper tubing manufacturers, in 2010 as chief financial officer and treasurer. She was named CEO of the company in 2013 and was one of the few women to lead a large manufacturing company until her resignation in February.
Cambridge-Lee, headquartered in Ontelaunee Township, earns nearly $500 million in annual revenue and has nearly 500 employees. The company is owned by Industrias Unidas S.A. de C.V. of Mexico.
Funk will talk about what makes a company successful.
The chamber will announce the winner of the 2017 Member of the Year Award at the event. The annual award has been given since 2014 in memory of the late Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz, former CEO of East Penn Manufacturing, based in Lyon.
The 2016 Member of the Year Award was given to Alyse Mitten, owner of Interlace Communications Inc. based in Perry Township.
