Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VII in South Bethlehem will see a new food manufacturer as a tenant for a facility slated to open next year.
Peter Polt, executive vice president of J.G. Petrucci Co. Inc. of Hanover Township, Northampton County, said his company would build a 179,000-square-foot facility at 2010 Spillman Drive in the industrial park.
Polt said his company is finalizing a lease for a food-company tenant that would use the facility for light manufacturing and distribution. About 60,000 square feet is available for another tenant.
J.G. Petrucci received land development approval and will start construction in a few weeks to complete the project in the first quarter of 2019, he said. He declined to provide an estimated construction cost.
Northampton County records show his company bought the property from Lehigh Valley Industrial Park Inc. for $3 million.
The site is well-located and offers a lot of incentives, including a Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance Act program, Polt said.
The tax incentive program is a 10-year tax abatement program that benefits tenants.
