Stephanie A. Koenig, Shareholder, Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba
With over a decade of experience, Stephanie A. Koenig is a shareholder in the Firm’s Real Estate, Land Use & Development and Employment and Labor Law groups. Throughout her career, Ms. Koenig has worked with organizations of all types and sizes to negotiate complex land development contracts, zoning approvals, and leases. She consistently represents clients in front of government agencies and municipalities regarding land use and entitlements for real estate ventures.
In addition, Ms. Koenig’s practice extends to Employment Law. She helps ensure transparency between employers and their employees during the contract development process, and counsels employers on compliance with federal, state and local laws concerning individual employment rights, workplace investigations, covenants not-to-compete, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and personnel policies.
Ms. Koenig has based her practice on the core values of strategy, practicality and honesty, which is evident in her relationships with her clients. She understands that each client has his or her own unique needs and goals, and tailors her approach to fit every individual that approaches her.
A native to the Lehigh Valley, Ms. Koenig is an avid traveler and enjoys discovering authentic cuisines from around the globe.
John Lufburrow, Vice President, Highmark
John joined Highmark in 2017 after 14 years in the pharmaceutical industry working for The Procter and Gamble Company and later with French pharmaceutical giant Sanofi. In his career he has built significant experience in sales, marketing, training, early stage product development and business development. Substantial industry contributions have been made in launching products, developing leaders and creating winning cultures with his passionate leadership style.
He started his Highmark career in National Sales working with large employer groups, followed by a promotion to Director of Customer Alignment where he served as a leader in both strategy and activation efforts. During 2018 John’s team proved integral in bringing UPMC to the negotiating table while helping thousands of our members find care with network providers. Over the last year John served as Highmark’s Vice President of Producer Strategy overseeing the health plans distribution channel and leading the redesign external engagement efforts.
John currently oversees all Commercial Market Sales and Service in Eastern Pennsylvania. He lives in the greater Harrisburg Area.
Carol Michaels, MPH, MCHES®, Populytics
Carol is the Administrator of Care Coordination for Populytics, Inc., a wholly owned population health management and analytics company of Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), located in Allentown, Pa. In this role, Carol leads operations for the Care Coordination teams focused on achieving the Quadruple Aim and successful value-based care initiatives. Carol’s oversight includes utilization management, case management, disease management, corporate wellness, and employee assistance programs, which foster connections between providers, patients, and resources in the community. She supervises a multi-disciplinary clinical team that collaborates with Populytics’ Analytics and Informatics teams to leverage actionable data to improve patient outcomes. Her teams successfully achieved multiple National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) program accreditations in Case Management, Population Health Programs, and Wellness and Health Promotion.
Carol is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist with more than 15 years of experience in public health, and community and population health management. She earned Biology and Public Health degrees from Bucknell University and the University of North Carolina – Greensboro, respectively. Before joining Populytics, Carol was a Health Educator whose work ranged from health communications research at the National Institutes of Health to municipal health department and grass-roots community initiatives. Carol currently serves on the board for the Eastern PA chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives as membership co-chair and also volunteers her time with her church’s community service projects.
