Stephen Seftchick, Senior Vice President, Market Executive for Central PA and WV, Highmark

Stephen Seftchick, Senior Vice President, Market Executive for Central PA and WV, is responsible for the development and execution of strategic and operational plans related to the provider network, delivery of care, management of the health of the population and cost of care, and growth objectives for the market and the advancement of Highmark Health’s Living Health strategy. Accountability for the management of insured lives across Highmark’s commercial and state and federal government programs. The Market Executive is the key driver of transformational change, including the market’s financial and operational performance, as well as organizational culture, talent and leadership. Partnering with segment leaders, physician population health leads, solutioning leaders, the data analytics team, and other teams in Highmark Health. 

Mr. Seftchick has been with Highmark since 2012. Prior to his current role, he served as the Vice President Network Partnerships, Director of Provider Partnerships and, previous to that, as the Director of Provider and Delivery System Analytics, during which he led the initial build of Highmark’s provider analytics capabilities.   

Prior to joining Highmark, he had a tenure in management consulting with Accenture’s Health Strategy and Provider Transformation consulting practice, working with large provider and payer organizations.  Additionally, he has a clinical background with almost 10 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a variety of health care settings.  

 

Mr. Seftchick received his Masters of Business Administration from Temple University with a concentration in Healthcare Management, a Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University in Health-Services Administration and an Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from The Pennsylvania State University. 

 

 

 

Matthew Scott, Senior Vice President & Employee Benefits Advisor, McGriff

Matt joined McGriff in October of last year after spending 15 years as an advisor for HUB International.  Prior to HUB he was the founder and President of Scott Benefit Group and has 20 years of experience consulting with mid-size and large employers to develop and implement cost effective employee benefits programs to engage, attract, and retain top level talent. 

Matt’s additional area of expertise include alternative funding options, medical stop loss captives, group healthcare consortiums, referenced based pricing, pharmacy management and benefit administration. 

Matt earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and is active in several organizations including serving as a Board Member for the Blue Mountain Chapter Safari Club and the Dauphin Athletic Association.   

 

Bob Knauss, Administrator, business development, sales and marketing, Populytics

Bob leads business development and marketing strategies for campaigns and programs in Populytics’ core areas: commercial health insurance, health care analytics, corporate/occupational health, workplace well-being, and care coordination. He is responsible for innovative programming to ensure marketplace prominence and facilitates relationships with a wide constituency – from brokers to payers and health networks – to build a strong referral base. Bob brings more than 25 years’ experience in employee benefits and insurance to the company. This encompasses product line sales and marketing; group benefit functions from sales through servicing and retention of accounts; managing for-profit and non-profit books of business; and strategic advisor partnerships.

A graduate of DeSales University, Center Valley, Bob holds a Pennsylvania and New Jersey Producers License for Health/Life/Accident and a Securities Series 6/63 License for Variable/Fixed Life and Annuities. He is a member of the Saucon Valley Business & Friends Association and served on the Board of Governors of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and Board of Directors of the Southern Lehigh Chamber.

 

Carrie Willetts, Senior Vice President, WellSpan Health and Market President – East Region 

In January 2020, Carrie Willetts, Senior Vice President WellSpan Health, assumed the role of Market President for WellSpan’s East Region.  Prior to this appointment, Ms. Willetts was Senior Vice President, WellSpan and President of the WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital from 2016-2020.  Before joining WellSpan, Ms. Willetts provided health care leadership in Virginia with Sentara Healthcare and the University of Virginia Health System.   

Ms. Willetts has over 25 years of healthcare leadership experience working in hospital operations, service line management, academic medicine leadership, strategic planning, marketing, community health, medical group operations, acute and outpatient rehabilitation services, revenue cycles and compliance.  She has extensive experience in strategic planning and execution, business development and operational leadership in both ambulatory and hospital settings.   

Ms. Willetts obtained her bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and master’s degree in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University where she was an A.D. Williams Scholar.     

In 2020, she was the recipient of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry ATHENA award.  

Ms. Willetts serves on Boards of Directors for Hospice & Community Care, HAPevolve, and the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
