A Stroudsburg-based bank is furthering its expansion into the Greater Lehigh Valley.
ESSA Bank & Trust has opened an administrative office in Hanover Township, Northampton County.
Matt Dorman of NAI Summit of South Whitehall Township said he represented the landlord, 94 Brodhead Associates, of the Professional Services Building at 190 Brodhead Road off Route 512, in a multiyear lease transaction for nearly 7,000 square feet of space the bank now occupies.
NAI Summit agents John Crampsie and Sarah Finney represented ESSA Bank & Trust.
“The purpose of it is to have commercial lenders as we continue to grow our presence in the Lehigh Valley,” said Gary Olson, president and CEO of ESSA Bank & Trust. “We’ve stationed some lenders and support staff. Also, an employee advisory group is there.”
The administrative office will not have a traditional retail branch, although it will have a mortgage lender, brokerage representatives and trust, Olson said.
Overall, the space has about 20 employees. Olson said ESSA is looking to grow its trust, advisory group and brokerage staff at the location.
“This is very similar to an office we opened in Plymouth Meeting last fall,” Olson said.
Olson sees continued growth for ESSA in the Greater Lehigh Valley, particularly for its work with small businesses, he added.
