Williams Township-based Polytek Development Corp., a manufacturer of specialty polymers for mold making is expanding.
The company announced that it has acquired Stone Coat Countertops, an Oregon-based company, which was founded in 2014.
Stone Coat supplies epoxy coating systems and accessories. It also offers education and technical support to teach artists, designers and do-it-yourselfers how to create decorative surfaces and décor.
Jonathan Kane, CEO of Polytek, said Stone Coat’s educational methods and products add to his company’s ability to offer a diverse range of products.
Mike Quist, owner of Stone Coat, will remain in his current role through the integration process, and the two companies will continue to do business under their existing names.
“We are excited to work with a company whose values mirror our own and we look forward to collaboration and future growth,” Quist said in a release.
This is Polytek’s second recent acquisition. In June it announced that it acquired Pro Marine Supplies of Florida, which supplies epoxy coating resins for a variety of professional and hobbyist applications, including arts, crafts, boat building, restoration and repair.
