“Speak in questions,” advised Bravo network television star and real estate broker Ryan Serhant on Thursday night at SteelStacks in Bethlehem.
Around 350 people – Realtors and real estate fans – came out to hear Serhant at the Lehigh Valley Association of Realtors inaugural Signature Event at SteelStacks, a record-largest turnout for an LVAR event.
The star of “Million Dollar Listing-New York” said that whenever he meets with a client, he speaks only in questions and lets them do all of the talking. Serhant said he learns more – and clients generally enjoy talking about themselves and their property.
After just five years in the business, Serhant was named the No. 16 broker in Manhattan by The Real Deal Magazine. He credited his success to having a strong ability to spot market trends.
Ryan Conrad, CEO of the association, said having a well-know television personality headline the event was a good way to get members of the general public to the event, as well as loyal LVAR members.
“We want to establish and create a better connection between the industry and the community,” Conrad said.
The hope was to inspire more people into a real estate career and membership in the Realtor association.
