Two Lehigh County and one Berks County businesses are among those receiving funding from the latest round of investments from the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Bethlehem.
The agency has announced $136,000 in regional economic development efforts.
Among those investments is an early stagecompany investment of $26,000 to eCO2Dye LLC in Allentown, a company developing a waterless fabric, thread and yarn dyeing technique to help it commercialize the product for business-to-business sales to clothing manufacturers and textile companies.
Ben Franklin also made a $25,000 established manufacturer company investment in Bazzini Inc., an Allentown-based nut producer that is working with Lehigh University of Bethlehem to streamline production and reduce waste.
It also made a $25,000 established manufacturer company investment in Brentwood Industries of Reading. The company is working with Lehigh University to complete manufacturing process improvements in scheduling, capacity and plant layout as well as efficiency and yield in order to support Brentwood’s new contract in the transportation industry.
Investments also were made in Bradford and Lycoming County businesses.
