The Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health is going up on property at The Knitting Mills redevelopment project, the site of the former VF Factory Outlets. The site is in close proximity to Reading Hospital, now owned by Tower Health, which has 714 beds.

The company plans to move its employees and operations out of those two other sites, which are a warehouse on Race Street in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, and a distribution center on Conroy Place in Forks Township.

The venue will include a 2,500-square-foot-outdoor beer garden attached to the 4,400 square-foot-restaurant.

This project is the first part of a multi-phase plan at Lafayette College for projects along McCartney Street.

Right now, Polytek has about 45 employees in Williams Township and more than 120 total across all its locations, which include California, Michigan, and Indiana.

The structure, originally built in 1959, now has a 2,400-square-foot second story, which includes a clean room for compounding medicine, a lunchroom and additional workspace.

Black Creek Group plans to develop three buildings on more than 16 industrial acres in South Whitehall Township.

The total project investment is $8.5 million, which includes installing automated manufacturing equipment, the majority of which relies on computer-navigated controls.

In addition to the opportunity zone incentives, for example, investors can also capture other tax incentives, such as the City Revitalization and Improvement Zone incentive in Bethlehem and the Neighborhood Improvement Zone benefit in Allentown.
