Two accounting firms that serve the Greater Lehigh Valley will merge Jan. 2.

Dunlap & Associates P.C., in Chalfont, Bucks County, and Seitz, Leatherman & Kolb LLC in Montgomeryville, Montgomery County, have each served the region for 20 years.

The new firm will be named DunlapSLK and be located in Dunlap’s office at 1300 Horizon Drive, Chalfont. The office is being renovated to accommodate a larger staff.

“We enter this merger as two longstanding, strong and well-established firms,” said Dennis Dunlap, Dunlap & Associates’ shareholder and managing director.

“As we come together, we are combining our talents and expertise to benefit our clients, while providing even more development and growth opportunities for our combined team of nine shareholders and 47 staff members,” Dunlap added.

Lon Seitz, managing partner of SLK, said the merger is a “perfect fit” because the firms have similar cultures, values and priorities.

“It allows us to expand, enhance, and diversify our capabilities, while continuing to provide clients with exceptional service on all levels,” Seitz said.

Dunlap & Associates P.C. was established in 1999 in New Britain Township. Its five shareholders and 31 employees provide accounting, auditing, tax and business consulting services for privately held companies, family-owned businesses, local governments, nonprofits, and individuals.

SLK was founded in 1998 in Montgomery Township. With four shareholders and a staff of 16, the firm provides accounting, auditing, tax, and business consulting.
