Grim, Biehn & Thatcher of Perkasie hired three new attorneys: Julieanne E. Bateman, Mitchell H. Baylarian and Ian W. Peltzman. Bateman received a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University and a law degree from Catholic University. Her areas of practice include civil litigation, employment law, domestic relations and criminal law. Prior to joining the firm, Bateman was an assistant district attorney in Franklin County, and clerked for the Honorable Robert O. Baldi in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas. Baylarian received a bachelor’s degree from Franklin and Marshall College and a law degree from Penn State. His areas of practice include family law and criminal law. Baylarian previously worked at the Chester County Public Defender’s Office and at a law firm in Doylestown. In 2016, he was appointed by the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas as a conflict attorney representing parents in children and youth matters. Peltzman received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a law degree from Boston College and is currently pursuing a master of laws degree at Temple University. His areas of practice include elder law, estate planning and estate administration. Peltzman recently completed the Mediation/Alternative Dispute Resolution Training Certification course.
PBS39 in Bethlehem hired 22 new employees. PBS39’s new Reporter Corps journalists, featured on the station’s nightly newscast, are dedicated to the counties that make up the Greater Lehigh Valley. Reporters Brittany Sweeney (Berks County), Chloe Nouvelle (Lehigh County), Megan Frank (Northampton County), Haley O’Brien (Carbon County), Hayden Mitman (Bucks County) and Zinnia Maldonado (Monroe County) will be covering counties in Pennsylvania for PBS39 News Tonight, as well as the station’s digital platforms. Erica Andrews (Hunterdon County) and Karishma Desai (Warren County) will cover the viewing area’s counties in New Jersey. Jim Deegan joined the team as managing editor for PBS39 News Tonight and Lisa Moy was hired as the newscast editor. The production team hired Mike Novak as production manager. April Maddona and Kelly Hurd were hired as video editors and Daniel Ray is a producer/editor. Jonas Bowen was hired as a broadcast engineer. The membership team expanded as well, hiring Genesis Ortega as community engagement ambassador/host of Es Tiempo Lehigh Valley and Sherry Rodriguez as membership ambassador/promotions. Nicole Harrell joined the marketing team as public relations/promotions manager. Carla Kohler joined the education department as a program coordinator. Angela Zanelli was hired as campaign manager for the new initiative Lehigh Valley Reads. Elias Makkad was hired as an accountant and analyst. Ron Rushe now serves as the station’s sponsorship director.
Klunk & Millan Advertising of South Whitehall Township hired Victoria Scialfa as an account specialist and Calla Kostelnik as a marketing assistant. Scialfa will serve as the day-to-day contact for several existing clients as well as supporting larger accounts. She previously worked at M Booth & Associates and Access Brand Communications in New York on brands including noosa yoghurt, Brooks Running, Trek, and Blue Diamond. She holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising/public relations from Penn State. Kostelnik will work across departments including media, web and creative to assist with the development of campaign themes and content. Calla graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a degree in advertising and public relations and previously worked at ArtsQuest.
ASR Media Productions of Hellertown hired Stephanie Mettler as coordinating producer and Dakota Reinke as digital producer. A graduate of Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in media studies and production, Mettler brings to her new role experience with the London-based filmmaking company, Movidiam. Along with production management, Mettler’s responsibilities as a coordinating producer include client relations, planning and implementing filming schedules, on and off camera-interview, and project management. Reinke joins the team after an internship with ASR Media. She received her bachelor’s degree in TV/film from DeSales University, where she cultivated her aspirations to work in television production. The role of digital producer includes promotion for ASR Media Productions, The PEAK TV and Ashley Russo via social media, planning and oversight of the company’s digital assets including YouTube management and podcast production.
Altitude Marketing of Emmaus hired Jeff Kotran as director of content marketing and Claire Herndon as content marketing coordinator. Kotran, who has an MBA in marketing from Fairfield University, will lead Altitude’s content marketing team by continuously reinforcing the connection between messaging, strategy and conversion goals – with creative, data-driven content at the frontline. Herndon graduated from Lehigh University in May 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance, and a minor in creative writing. In this newly added role, Herndon will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks relating to content generation and distribution.
Kellie L. Rahl-Heffner, an attorney with Gross McGinley LLP, was appointed to the board of directors for Pinebrook Family Answers, a Lehigh Valley social services agency.
