Off The Clock: College students participate in financial reality fair
Students of Kutztown University participated in a hands-on financial management and personal budgeting experience during a financial reality fair Nov. 6 at the university’s McFarland Student Union Building. The event, sponsored by PSECU, was designed to be a highly interactive experience for student participants. Students received a budgeting worksheet with salary information based on intended career and level of education. Students then visited a series of booths to learn about and make choices pertaining to living expenses, from entertainment to insurance. To end the activity with a balanced budget, students were encouraged to revisit each booth as many times as needed. Pictured are students participating in the fair.
Employees at A&T Chevrolet-Subaru put down their razors to raise $300 for cancer research through online and in-store donations for No-Shave November - a web-based, nonprofit devoted to cancer awareness and raising funds to support cancer prevention, research, and education. In addition, A&T’s employees and customers, in coordination with Grand View Health, provided both material needs and fun gifts to the families of three patients undergoing cancer treatment through the A&T Chevrolet-Subaru Holiday Cheer Campaign.
