The Exit Planning Institute announced that Andrew P. Kahn and Andrea L. Brady shareholders at Concannon Miller and Company PC in Hanover Township, Northampton County, recently earned the certified exit planning adviser designation after completing the Institute’s 4-day executive MBA-style program in Scottsdale, Arizona. Brady and Kahn join an elite group of business advisors who have received this designation and are a part of the Exit Planning Institute’s international community of CEPAs.

Winners of the 14th Annual Davey Awards have been announced by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts. Blue Ridge Communications and Liquid Interactive were recognized with two silver Davey Awards for Blue Ridge’s animated video for its HomeFi product, which is designed to deliver the ultimate in-home Wi-Fi experience. With 3,000 entries from across the U.S. and around the world, the Davey Awards honor creative work from the small shops, firms, and companies worldwide.
Ondra-Huyett Associates of Upper Macungie Township has been recognized by Associated Builders & Contractors as an accredited quality contractor. The Accredited Quality Contractor program was launched in 1993 and is a program that publicly recognizes and honors construction firms that have documented their commitment in five areas of corporate responsibility: quality, safety, employee benefits, training and community service. Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center announced plans to replace its roof and install solar panels. Made possible through a grant from an anonymous foundation as well as in-kind labor from International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 375, Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center is expected to save 46 percent of its energy costs through this switch. The panels are under warranty for 25 years, meaning expected energy cost savings to the nonprofit are more than $350,000 through the life of the panels. Roof work begins this week and will be completed by Alan Kunsman Roofing. Solar installation will be completed in November by Sun Pulse Solar and the IBEW Local 375.
