Geisinger CEO to leave in January, join Google

Geisinger said its president and CEO, David T. Feinberg, will be leaving the hospital system early next year.

Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Jaewon Ryu will act as interim president and CEO beginning in December.

According to Don Stanziano, Geisinger’s chief marketing officer, the system’s board of directors is still deciding on its next steps for hiring a permanent CEO.

"We have a strong interim leader that the board identified prior to the announcement," Stanziano said. "The permanent process is being determined now."
