Sears Holdings, which runs Sears and Kmart stores, is planning to close another 40 stores, including two in the Greater Lehigh Valley.

The company said the State Hill Road Sears in Wyomissing and the Sears at the Stroud Mall in Stroudsburg are in the next round of store closures.

No new Kmart stores were listed for closure in the Greater Lehigh Valley.

The latest closures come on top of 142 stores the retailer said it would be shuttering by year’s end. The company declared bankruptcy in October but has been seeking funding to keep from going out of business.

The store closing are expected to begin next week and be completed by February 2019.
