Particle Sciences names Lee president

Particle Sciences Inc. of Bethlehem has appointed Robert W. Lee, Ph.D., as president.

He is responsible for product development.

Lee has been with Particle Sciences for 10 years, most recently as executive vice president of pharmacy services. Lee had more than 17 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and development prior to joining Particle Sciences, which is on Courtney Street.

He was one of the founding members of NanoSystems, a drug delivery company focused on the formulation of water-insoluble drugs using high energy media milling.

He has published articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals and written three book chapters. He holds 11 issued patents and 14 provisional patent applications, according to the company.

He was appointed as an adjunct associate professor of pharmaceutical chemistry at the University of Kansas in 1992.

Particle Sciences, a Lubrizol LifeSciences company, is a drug delivery contract development and manufacturing organization, an integrated provider of drug development services and manufacturing.
