ESSA Bancorp Inc. of Stroudsburg, the holding company for ESSA Bank & Trust, announced the reappointment of Philip H. Hosbach IV to its board of directors. Hosbach rejoins the board following his initial term from 2014-2016. Hosbach resigned as a director in 2016 following his acceptance of a career assignment overseas. This increases the size of ESSA’s board to 11 directors.

Reading Hospital in West Reading is one of 19 emergency departments in the United States to have received the Emergency Nurses Association’s 2018 Lantern Award for demonstrating exceptional and innovative performance in leadership, practice, education, advocacy and research. The hospital said its emergency department is the ninth busiest single-site department in the nation and busiest in Pennsylvania, annually treating more than 135,000 patients.
Marilee Falco, principal and financial strategist at Agili in Bethlehem, was awarded the 2018 Service to Philanthropy Award by the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation. The award was presented to Falco on June 21 at a reception for professional advisers at Lehigh Country Club.
