Limited-edition bottles of Philadelphia Eagles championship red wine are now available at select Pennsylvania wine and spirit stores.
The bottles commemorate the Eagles’ victory over the New England Patriots at the 52nd Super Bowl on Feb. 4. It was the team’s first Super Bowl title.
Each 750-milliliter bottle is etched and hand-painted by artisans from Mano’s, a Kansas City, Mo., company that makes custom wine bottles for other sports teams, including the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Union.
The front of the bottle features the football team’s iconic eagle etched over “LII Champions, 02-04-18.”
The wine is a handcrafted reserve blend of Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon and Monterey Merlot that is aged for 15 months in French and American oak.
A Bordeaux-style blend, the wine exhibits soft tannins, ripe cassis, chocolate and berry flavors that create a medium-bodied, dry red with a smooth finish.
A bottle retails for $49.99.
