St. Luke's University Health Network will add a medical office building to its roster of patient care facilities when it opens its newest one in the Greater Lehigh Valley this fall.

Boyle Construction of South Whitehall Township is building the three-story structure at the corner of Lanark Road and Route 309 in Upper Saucon Township.

St. Luke’s will lease the 42,000-square-foot site from Peron Development, said Rob DeBeer, director of development for Peron Development of Bethlehem. The spot is a strategic location for the development, according to DeBeer, who said he lives nearby.

“I always thought this was a well-positioned corner in a well-trafficked area,” he added.

MKSD architects of South Whitehall Township is the architect.

The building on Route 309 will consolidate some existing St. Luke’s offices in the general area and house some new ones, said Sam Kennedy, representative for St. Luke’s. It will open gradually, probably with one office in August and potentially a grand opening in the fall.

As to what exactly is moving in, St. Luke’s will release those details and others before the grand opening, Kennedy added.

He declined to disclose the construction cost.
