Off The Clock: Auto dealers give $25K to pediatrics unit, college
The Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association gave $12,500 apiece to Good Shepherd Pediatrics and Northampton Community College at the May 10 regional meeting of the Pennsylvania Automotive Association at Best Western Lehigh Valley Hotel & Conference Center in Hanover Township, Northampton County. Annually, GLVADA donates proceeds from the preview gala for its auto show, but the gala was canceled this year because of a snowstorm. Regardless, the association’s directors donated $25,000 to the charities. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Lehigh Valley Chapter recognized Greater Lehigh Valley businessmen and women at the Lehigh Valley Man& Woman of the Year grandfinale gala at DeSales University, Upper Saucon Township. The 10-week fundraisingcampaign by 17 people raised $732,447.
