Fidelity Investments is opening its newest investor center.
A ribbon cutting is planned at the new office Tuesday in the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley in Upper Saucon Township.
It is the first Fidelity office in the Greater Lehigh Valley.
The company said previously, the closest was in King of Prussia.
The 10,000-square-foot office is in Suite 311 of the lifestyle center.
“Our clients, and area customers, have been asking for a Lehigh Valley investor center for some time,” said Ted Wiedenman, vice president and branch manager. “This is a retail investor center. The main purpose of the office is for planning.”
He said that while Fidelity has a web presence for self-guided investing, having an office in a community adds another level of investment assistance.
“Here in the office, we’re available for face-to-face planning,” he said.
Wiedenman will work with a team of 10 associates.
Fidelity investor centers provide clients with education, technology and one-on-one guidance to help them develop strategies for a variety of financial objectives. Among the issues are estate planning, charitable giving, life insurance and college planning.
Wiedenman said the office will also host educational workshops and seminars on investing topics based on the feedback the staff receives from clients.
“They will be based on where the demand is,” he said.
Fidelity has more than 195 investor centers around the country.
