A biotechnology company said it doubled its office, lab and manufacturing space with its new location in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.
Bioscience Inc. recently opened its 20,000-square-foot-site at Lehigh Valley Industrial Park III near Lehigh Valley International Airport, citing increasing demand for its products as the impetus for reorganizing and expanding its research and production facilities.
“We’ve had sales growth over the past few years, it was just getting to be too small of a space,” said Lisen Cummings, technical specialist at Bioscience.
With manufacturing growing from its national and global sales, its former space at 966 Postal Road, also in the township, got too small to handle the capacity.
Bioscience has 13 employees, she added. So far, the company does not plan to hire additional staff.
The company makes solutions for use in a variety of industrial, commercial and agricultural settings.
Its focus areas are microbial products for wastewater treatment and analytical instruments it manufactures mainly for the pharmaceutical industry. As an example, its MICROCAT microbial products have applications in process improvement and stabilization in municipal, industrial, commercial, aqua-cultural, agricultural and building maintenance applications on six continents. Wastewater plants, research facilities and certified labs around the world have used Bioscience’s analytical products.
The new address is at 2201 Hangar Place, Suite 200.
