Godiva Chocolatier in Exeter Township and Nazareth Pallet Company in Northampton are among the companies getting assistance with Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeast Pennsylvania's latest round of regional investments.
Ben Franklin has announced it will invest $203,855 in startup and existing companies.
Among the investments is 1:1 matching funds for a number of established companies in its territory.
For Godiva, Ben Franklin is providing $25,000 for the chocolate manufacturer to work with Lehigh University’s Enterprise Systems Center to identify and implement process improvements in plant layout and inventory management to reduce cost of goods.
Nazareth Pallet in Northampton will receive $21,000 to work with the center to conduct an analysis of operations, identifying inefficiencies in process flow logistics, increasing output, and improving end-product quality.
Also, Custom Processing Services Inc. of Exeter Township, a producer of powdered materials, will receive $32,855 to work with the center to complete an analysis of the inventory management process and begin implementation of the recommendations.
Ben Franklin also made investments for PlanGuru and McCarthy Tire Service, two companies in Luzerne County
