Grand View Health has joined Penn Cancer Network, a move that expands the Sellersville-based health network's ability to provide greater expertise and access to subspecialty care for patients in the region.

Penn Cancer Network is part of Penn Medicine and the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“This membership in the Penn Cancer Network will greatly expand our ability to bring the most advanced care to the region we serve,” said Jean M. Keeler, president and CEO of Grand View Health.

Keeler said the partnership will provide Grand View’s physicians with access to Penn’s extensive clinical research and professional education opportunities.

“Our patients and our community will benefit most from this affiliation,” she said.

Membership enables Grand View patients to participate in clinical trials or receive advanced diagnostic testing, surgery and radiation techniques.

Penn Cancer Network also provides Grand View enhanced patient and community education opportunities and assistance in planning for the community’s future needs for cancer services.

Grand View's three-year contract with Fox Chase Cancer Network ended in 2016, according to Vickie Keeler, director of cancer services at Grand View Health.

"There were no problems or issues. The administration just made the decision to not extend the contract," she said.
