New president named for Allentown’s CrossAmerica Partners

By ,

Allentown-based CrossAmerica Partners, a wholesale fuels distributor, has announced planned leadership changes.

According to a release, Gerardo Valencia will be joining the company as president effective March 1. He also will join the company’s board of directors at that time.

As part of the leadership transition, Jeremy Bergeron will resign as president effective March 1, but will continue on as chief executive officer until Valencia is transitioned into that role, likely in the second or third quarter of the year.

At that point, Bergeron will assume a new leadership role within Quebec-based Alimentation Couche-Tard, the owner of CrossAmerica.

Prior to joining CrossAmerica, Valencia was responsible for retail operations, asset management, business development, national wholesale fuel sales and strategy for different markets around the globe for BP plc.

CrossAmerica Partners is headquartered at Three City Center at 515 Hamilton St. in Allentown. It distributes fuel to about 1,200 locations and owns or leases about 900 sites in 31 states.
