Laura Azzalina, senior vice president, director of community banking for Firstrust Bank, who is based in South Whitehall Township, was named chair of the 2018 Lehigh Valley Go Red for Women Luncheon, celebrating its 10th anniversary. The annual women’s heart health awareness and fundraising event will be held May 11 at SteelStacks Musikfest Café in Bethlehem.
Kellie L. Rahl-Heffner, an attorney with Gross McGinley LLP in Allentown, was appointed to the development committee for the Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living. Rahl-Heffner will assist in the planning of events, sponsorships, grants and other development activities. The center serves the disability community throughout Lehigh and Northampton counties, assisting people in achieving independence and inclusivity in their communities.

To become ISO 9001:2015 certified, MNW underwent an 18-month evaluation that included quality management system development, management system documentation review, pre-audit and an initial assessment to identify gaps in compliance with the new standard.

KDG’s Lehigh Valley web design team in South Whitehall Township was recognized with two AVA Digital Awards. The AVA Awards honor top talent in digital communications, including website design. “24 Hours of Impact – Drexel University’s 2nd Day of Giving,” a higher education crowdfunding campaign designed by KDG’s higher education web design team and Drexel University, was named a 2018 Platinum Winner. A website that KDG did for the nonprofit Faraja Primary School also received an honorable mention AVA award.
