A new The Learning Experience early childhood education center is open in Bethlehem.

The center, at 2955 Linden St., serves children from six weeks until kindergarten. Licensed to care for up to 157, so far it has more than 30 children enrolled.

It is the third The Learning Experience franchise owned by Sanjay and Sonia Malhotra. The Learning Experience is a rapidly growing franchise with around 300 locations nationally.

The closest Learning Center to the new location is in Nazareth, which is under different franchise ownership. There are eight The Learning Centers in Pennsylvania.

Jennifer Heffner, who runs the Linden Street location, said the site was chosen because of its easy access from Route 22 and Interstate 78, as well as it being close to a large residential development.

“We pride ourselves in our educational programming at the center,” Heffner said.

She said children don’t just learn letters and numbers, but sign language, manners and philanthropy.

Women’s collaborative

workspace opens in Hellertown

The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for a newly opened business space, 410 Collaborative, in Hellertown.

The space is occupied by several woman-owned businesses and female solopreneurs, including ASR Media Productions, owned by Ashley Russo; Sarott Design, owned by Sarah Dams; Social T Marketing & PR, owned by Tina Hasselbusch; and web and interior design consultant Natasha Gourzis-Benzing.

“I was very excited about the opportunity to hang a shingle on Main Street,” Russo said. “The ability to share this beautiful space with other female business owners, collaborate on projects, and even simply contribute advice and resources made perfect sense to me.”

410 Collaborative’s space is in a repurposed home with plenty of common space.

Among the plans is to host bimonthly seminars on topics such as work-life balance, managing stress, brand building, easy marketing strategies and more.

410 Collaborative is at 410 Main St., Hellertown.
