Buffalo Wild Wings opened a new location this morning at 1465-29 W. Broad St. in Quakertown, bringing 130 new jobs to the area.
George Flocco, district manager for the chain, said the company has been working on opening this location for more than a year.
“We’re now in every state, so there’s huge growth in this brand overall,” Flocco said. “The other stores [in the area] that our doing well really help us to be able to open other locations like this one.”
Flocco, who declined to disclose the cost of the project, said all 130 jobs are full-time, with six the positions in management.
The restaurant, which already has locations in Lower Nazareth and Whitehall and Warrington townships, specializes in Buffalo wings in a variety of 16 signature sauces and five seasonings.
There also is a full menu of pub-style fare, ranging from burgers to flatbreads and salads.
The restaurant has a full bar with cocktails and a variety of domestic, import and craft beers.
The chain was founded in 1982 in Ohio. It has a strong sports theme, with several large-screen televisions at its restaurants.
