Fellowship Community of Whitehall said its Fellowship Manor Nursing Care Center earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Heart Failure Certification, a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to providing safe and effective patient care. Fellowship Manor is one of only three independent skilled nursing centers in the nation to earn the designation.

Two nonprofit organizations of Home Health Care Management in Wyomissing – Berks Visiting Nurse Association and Visiting Nurse Association of Pottstown and Vicinity – earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Home Care Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with The Joint Commission’s performance standards.

Dividends

PPL Corp. of Allentown declared a quarterly common stock dividend of 39.5 cents per share payable Jan. 2 to shareowners of record Dec. 8.

Mauch Chunk Trust Financial Corp. of Jim Thorpe declared a regular dividend of 22 cents per share payable Dec. 29 to shareholders of record Dec. 1. This action brings the annual dividend rate to 44 cents per share, a 4.76 percent increase over last year’s total dividend.

Good Deeds

The Western Lehigh and East Penn Chamber of Commerce named Cetronia Ambulance Corps as a recipient of the 2017 WLCC Sophie Gerhard and Edwin Adamczak Community Grant award. Cetronia will use the $1,000 grant to help fund a new full-body pre-hospital trauma life-support training manikin.

The Provident Bank Foundation gave $4,440 to the National Museum of Industrial History in Bethlehem. This grant will go toward the Future Innovator’s Fund, which offers low-income students exposure to experiential learning and real-world examples of the historical and ongoing impact that science, technology, engineering and math innovations have had locally, nationally and globally.

Honors

Klunk & Millan Advertising of South Whitehall Township was honored by the Philadelphia chapter of the Public Relations Society of America at the 49th annual Pepperpot and Achievement Awards with a first-place Pepperpot for the launch of Yuengling’s Ice Cream’s newest flavor, Butterbeer. The campaign generated more than 500 million media impressions, 75 pieces of coverage and a sellout of the flavor. 

Cedar Crest College in Allentown was recognized for its dedication to educating servicemen and servicewomen. The college earned the 2018 Military Friendly School Designation from Victory Media. Schools are assessed on their ability to meet minimum thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment and loan default rates.

Real Estate

Colliers International said its Allentown team of Ryan Dietrick, Kelly Berfield and John Susanin represented Brookwood Financial Partners LLC in facilitating two new leases at the Iron Run Corporate Center at 7450 Tilghman St. in Upper Macungie Township. It leased 24,269 square feet to JetPay Human Resources & Payroll Services Inc., which was represented by Brian Lafond and Dave Butera of Gola Corporate Real Estate Inc. It also leased 11,000 square feet to Resource Search Co., doing business as RSC Solutions , which is relocating from the Wyomissing market to the Lehigh Valley. It was represented by John Buccinno of NAI Keystone.

Markward Group of Upper Macungie Township assisted with the recent sale of an 11,114-square-foot building at 1400 North Irving St. in Allentown. Evergreen Companies Inc., a full-service landscaping and horticultural service company from Wilkes-Barre, bought the building for $1.2 million. Its plans are to use the property as a storage and dispatch facility. Amy Hawley represented the buyer and seller during the transaction.
