Good Life Advisors LLC, a growing investment advisory firm based in Wyomissing, plans to relocate its headquarters to Cumru Township.

The move is facilitated by a $1.4 million loan from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority to C2 Real Estate, a firm co-owned by Good Life Advisors, to buy and renovate a 24,000-square-foot building at 2385 Lancaster Pike in the township.

The Greater Berks Development Fund helped secure the loan, part of $6.6 million in PIDA loans it has helped procure for nine projects this year.

The building is in a commercial area of Cumru Township that suffered a decline over the last several years after the construction of the new bypass that connects routes 422 and 222.

Township manager Jeanne E. Johnston is hopeful Good Life’s investment and quality jobs spur other development nearby.

“Through the GBDF and the PIDA loan program, we can provide a catalyst for growth to local companies like Good Life, which has chosen to locate its headquarters in Berks County,” said Randy Peers, president and CEO of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance. “The Good Life’s move to Cumru will jump-start investment in a corridor ripe for development.”

Good Life was co-founded in 2012 by Conor Delaney and Courtnie Nein.

Good Life officials said the company needs more space to accommodate additional employees they plan to hire for new business areas, including adding what they called a “technology tool suite” to aid the automation of new client accounts, among other improvements.

The company has more than 30 employees at its Wyomissing office and provides support to hundreds of advisers, insurance agents and other staff at 35 locations in 30 states.
