Fall brings family festivals and Halloween haunts

By , - Last modified: October 12, 2017 at 1:42 PM

Fall is here, and with it comes several attractions that can be found throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley.

With everything from hay rides to corn mazes, and family festivals to pumpkin and apple picking, the opportunities for fun are seemingly endless.

One attraction in Breinigsville that offers a little bit of everything “fall” is Grim’s Orchard and Family Farms.

The farm hosts school tours, a fall festival, opportunities to pick-your-own apples and pumpkins and new attractions, including a haunted orchard and haunted corn maze.

The family friendly festival includes a corn maze, hay rides, slides, paintball, corn hole, ladder golf and pick-your-own apples and pumpkins, among several other activities. The festival runs during weekends in October through Nov. 4. The corn maze also offers a “flashlight night,” when you can try to find your way through in the night.

The corn maze (which is also used for the haunted attraction) sits on six acres of 6-to-8-foot-tall corn and is sponsored by CF Moto of Nazareth.

Also, there are a barnyard animal exhibit, food market and more.

One haunted attraction, the Grimville Haunted Grim Maze, consists of more than 1,000 apple trees and features low-lying fog, human-like trees and roaming wildlife.

The second haunt, Farmer Grimmy’s Haunted Corn Maze, is on the six-acre corn field and features low-lying fog, “corn stalkers” and other creatures.

Festival and attraction hours:

Pick-your-own apples: Every day through Sunday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Fall festival (corn maze, hayrides, play corral, kitchen and farm market, pumpkin picking and barnyard animals): Saturdays and Sundays through Nov. 4 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Flashlight maze nights and haunted attractions: Friday and Saturday nights through Nov. 4 from 6-10 p.m. (These also include corn maze, hayrides, kitchen and play corral.)

Prices vary by attraction and times. Ticket and pricing information can be found at www.grimsgreenhouse.com.
